== Newsflashes! ==

Over the winter of 2014/5 mice proved much more of a nuisance than they have in the past with mouse droppings in all parts of the house.  An ultrasonic mouse repellent has been installed and made some difference but '''please be extra careful about leaving food out''' and wipe down surfaces to get rid of crumbs and other food scraps.

Thanks to Dominic, we have had a [http://www.mosquitomagnet.com/ Mosquito Magnet] shipped from the US and with high hopes that it will alleviate the midge problem. The necessary US -> UK adapters for electricity and propane were acquired and the gadget was in operation for a few days and caught thousands of midges. It isn't achieving much at the moment (June 2015) so experimentation continues.

We have dispensed with the resident computer; please let us know if this will cause you a problem.  The wifi is fine so if you want the internet bring your own wireless-enabled laptop or hand held &c.
