The television is pretty basic - only BBC1, BBC2, ITV1 and S4C.
FM radio reception is terrible; we listen on the internet. Radio 4 on long wave is OK.
There is a good selection of maps and walks books on the shelf above the television.
There are books on local interest and on cookery and some novels here and in the small lounge.
Although the music centre wins no points for elegance, it produces a very good sound.
The wood-burning stove was installed on 27 October 2007 so is pretty much untested at the moment but is expected to keep much of the house warm. There is a rather obsessive instruction book on the shelf by the television.
