More on the main lounge
- The corner sofa makes up into a double bed. Full marks to the John Lewis delivery guys who got it up to Bryn Teg with very little fuss. If you plan to use this to sleep on, it is best to bring sleeping bags.
- The advent of digital television has greatly improved reception and made some more channels available via Freeview.
- FM radio reception is terrible; we listen on the internet or the television. Radio 4 on long wave is OK.
- There is a good selection of maps and walks books on the shelf above the television.
- There are some novels in here.
- Although the music centre wins no points for elegance, it produces a very good sound. The CD changer is stuck at the moment so bring your music on iPad, iPhone or similar.
- The wood-burning stove keeps much of the house warm when lit. There is a rather obsessive instruction book on the shelf by the television. See the section on Heating on the Inside Bryn Teg page for more information.
- The previously not very good lighting has been replaced by modern halogen mini-spots on tracks which has been a huge improvement.
